Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA)
Also known as: Министерство иностранных дел Израиля (МИД) · משרד החוץ
Government authority that issues apostilles on Israeli state documents for use abroad.
One of two authorities in Israel competent to issue apostilles. The MFA issues apostilles on state documents — birth, marriage, divorce, and death certificates from the Ministry of Interior (משרד הפנים), diplomas, registry documents, court records signed by court clerks. The MFA apostille and the Magistrate Court apostille are not interchangeable: a notarised translation cannot receive an MFA apostille, and a state certificate cannot receive a court apostille.
