Certified copy

Also known as: Заверенная копия · אישור העתק נאמן למקור

Document copy with a notarial certification confirming exact correspondence to the original.

A certified copy carries the same evidentiary weight as the original for most purposes. The notary compares the copy with the original, stamps the copy with the certifying stamp, and signs the certification page. Often required when one needs to submit a document to one authority while keeping the original or sending it to another. In Israel notarial copy certification is regulated by the Notaries Law of 1976.
