Power of attorney
Also known as: Доверенность · ייפוי כוח
Document by which the principal authorises another person to act on their behalf within defined limits.
A notarised power of attorney in Israel is drafted and certified by a notary. The principal signs it in the notary's presence, where the notary verifies identity from a passport or Israeli ID. The document is bound with the red notarial ribbon and bears the certifying stamp. For use abroad the POA typically receives a Magistrate Court apostille. Powers cannot exceed what the law of the destination country allows. Revocation is a separate formal act, usually delivered by registered mail.
