Translator's declaration

Also known as: Декларация переводчика (тцhаhир переводчика) · תצהיר מתרגם

What is a translator's declaration?

Written declaration by the translator that the translation they performed is accurate, certified by a notary.

An alternative path to notarised translation provided by the Notaries Law of 1976: the translator signs a declaration (תצהיר) of translation accuracy, and the notary certifies the translator's signature. This route is used when the notary does not speak one of the language pair, typical for rare languages. A receiving authority abroad may require additional notarial certification on top of the declaration; this should be confirmed in advance.
